E-CAD

Electrical CAD (E-CAD) is essentially AutoCAD for control designers built with the purpose of creating and modifying electrical control systems. It includes all the major functionalities of AutoCAD plus comprehensive symbol libraries and tools for automating control engineering tasks.

For electrical designs there is no single optimum design, but only several different ways to solve a design problem. With Electrical CAD, electrical engineers have a quick and easy access to alternate designs. Another function that CAD programs can offer is validating the circuits and the accuracy of the design. Electrical Computer Aided Design (ECAD) software is used to create and modify diagrams and layouts, including both 2D and 3D, in order to design, assess and document electrical PCB (Printed Circuit Boards).
